Fire Drill 2008

This afternoon, my company had a fire drill exercise. Most people who are working in high rise building will know it is quite a painful experience. Some will sneak out just before the alarm blare just to escape climbing down the staircase. For one, I saw an interesting sight. Too bad I cant take the photo. One of my colleague quickly changed her high heel shoes to a pair of sport shoes. I teased her... and she replied, "Of course la. Else, very chi cham wan." hahaha....

My office is at 19th Floor. I thought 19th floor shouldn't be any problem for me to descend. But I am dead wrong. After descending 19th floor, I feel my leg a bit sore. I really do not anticipate I will have this difficulty with descending only. Why I still feel my leg as if strengthless? Probably I am getting old ... or ... I have skipped exercising for a long period. Thus my leg has not enough strength anymore.

Hopefully tomorrow I wont have aches at my leg's muscle. If my leg is sore and pain tomorrow morning, I am pain useless. :(

Till then ... Will update again tomorrow.

NDP 2008 Meeting (21/04/2008) - Guidance by SSA YMD Chief

Previously I said I had listened to one of the guidance shared by the SSA YMD chief. He shared something about the NDP. He asked all the participants whether we still remembered why we decided to join this NDP? He said he remembered some of us answered that want to make new friends. Some said just followed friends. Some said want to contribute to society. And some said to use this opportunity to do kosen-rufu.

How about me? I have pondered this quite long before. Initially, I also dunno why I join NDP. Maybe to kill time and my boredom. Hahaha... but the truth is I want to experience the mass performance here. I have not involved in any mass performance before. Hence I would like to take this opportunity to do so. Besides, I wanna show the gakkai spirit to all. ^^

SSA YMD chief stated that we should use this opportunity to overcome our weakness. He said everybody has his own weakness to overcome. That's why we should take this NDP as a training ground to overcome it. On giving an example, he said some people tends to always late. Some people likes to waste time or always think still can make it syndrome, and as a result will late for an appointment. As such, this is a weakness that we must overcome. However, he said some people tend to rush from work but still late for appointment. And these is not a weakness. So we cannot blame these people. :)

So I summarized that he wants us as youths to overcome any weaknesses that we have and to become stronger youths!!!

And now I said this is 4.

Finally I said this is one.

I bet most of you will know after looking at the photos awhile. It's not that hard though when u can repeatedly scroll up and down. :p

Happy guessing!!

NDP 2008 Meeting (21/04/2008)

I just attended the NDP meeting just now. Actually it was a review on our past practices. We were told some of the common mistakes that we made. The trainers demo them for us; the correct posture and the incorrect posture. It was lots of funs as one of the trainer is a joker. We all laugh all the way till finish.

Anyway, I noticed that they have changed a bit on the posture and one of the step has been changed a bit. However, I still prefer the old step, which I think is nicer. Dunno should I voice up or not. Sigh.... think I will just continue to follow their decision. Majority wins. :p

Later, SSA YMD Chief had given a guidance. I will share it again when I got time to type them all.

NDP 2008 Training (19/04/2008) UPDATE

In my previous post, I have forgotten to add a very good advice from the SSA YMD Chief. I cant really spill his speech words by words. However, I think the gist should as below.

"I know there has been changes in terms of formation and steps in this practise from our last practise last week. But all of you must not think that how come the trainers do not make up our mind and always change here and there. and till when wanna fix the steps and formation. NO! We mustn't think like that, especially the youth division. We must always accept changes. WHY?? It is because we want to be the best. We want to be the best performance for the show. So we will keep changing even until just prior to the performance in order to be our best. And this should be the youth division spirit. We must not be afraid of changes!!"

NDP 2008 Training (19/04/2008)

It's been hours since I came back from my second NDP 2008 training. It's not so tough, but the complicated part is I have to remember the formation. Luckily I am not the first person to lead the whole group. Lucky me.... xD

Actually I missed last week training as I went back to M'sia to help SGMS Dancing Group Appreciation Night. Those interested on seeing some of the photos from the Appreciation Night, can go to http://dancinggroup.blogspot.com/

I thought I have missed a lot. Anyway, my Lady Luck shines on me again. There is some changes on the steps and formation. Hence, somehow I felt all the changes had nullified last week training. As a result, I can catch up pretty quickly. All thanks to Jasmine, too as she taught me well. Actually there is another trainer in my block. However, I heard that he was posted overseas for a month. So for the time being, only left Jasmine guide us during the training.

Too bad I cant take any photos during our training. It is a NO NO to all the participants. Will update bout my NDP training again if there is any interesting parts that I think ought to share.

New Movie Hits The Cinema

Anyone has seen the new movie? I have watched few hours ago. It din have stunning storyline. The kungfu action is okay and not too "over". I better dun speak of some spoilers here, though.

I like Crystal Liu or Liu Yi Fei. She's so cute, actually my type of dream girl, but it's too bad, as her scenes are limited; just like Li Bing Bing. After watching both of them speaking in English, I just wondered whether it was their real voice in the movie?

Overall, you can watch this movie, but with one condition. Do not expect the hell lot from this movie. Just enjoy the movie as it is. Enjoy the fighting scene and several humor parts over the movie. If you din find any parts of the movie is funny, you better re-watch it. I am sure there is one or two parts that are funny. The whole audience are laughing furiously inside the cinema.

Overall, this is my verdict: Out of 5 stars... I think I gonna give 3 stars for it.

Outing on 04/04/2008

On this date, I visited Delhi Restaurant near Little India MRT Station with a bunch of friends. We had ordered quite some other dishes. However, I just remembered to take 2 photos out of 6 or 7 dishes that we ordered. They look so "yummy" till I forgot to snap snap snap!!!

Another dish from Delhi Restaurant. Too bad I din know what's the name of this dish.

After dining at Delhi Restaurant, we decided to have our next "yum cha" session at one of the night spot @ Dempsey Hill. Can't remember the name of this place. However, the environment is cozy and the light ambience is nice too.

Big boss was saying, "Order anything you want. The bill will be on me."
I replied, "Are you serious?"
Big boss corrected me,"Sure!! I aint say I will pay for the bill. I just said the bill will be on me. So you pay the bill, but I keep the bill. Hahaha!"
I remarked, "F@#%!!!"

We had ordered 5 different cakes that night. All is not bad, but I typically like the almond chocolate cake.

"Leng loi, no need to choose la. You can have all the cakes by yourself. Hahaha...."

SY was posing with one the cake that she chose.

Yeah yeah.... 3 of you is very pretty. Can we start to eat the cake??

"Woi!!! What are you drinking? Blood!!! Why you still smiling? You are nutcase!"

Err.... actually it was a joke. This is a healthy drink. What juice would you guess? Tomato??? Wrong wrong wrong..... It is carrot plus celery drink. That's make me wonder how come it is red in color. Probably, the drink was added another fruits that I din notice on the menu, though.
And lastly, I caught this super duper loving couple in action.
Hubby: Honey, my stomach like not feeling so well.
Wife : (*pinching*) Aiyoh.... Told you already, don't eat so much of the cakes. Why you sapu all? Padan muka. Tai sei!!

My Chanting Resolution 2008

Recently I have made a resolution for my prayers. It all began one day suddenly I felt I kinda miss my SGMS Dancing Group activities. They are gearing towards the Cultural Show in year 2010. I wanna be part of it. But the problem is I am currently working in Singapore and definitely I will miss it. As a result, I started this mission impossible prayer.

I am chanting that I will have the opportunity to be transfered back to M'sia in order for me to be part of the team. I wish that I can contribute for the show for the Cultural Show in 2010. There is one catch. I wish even though I am transfered back to KL Office, I will be still under my SG Company payroll. Hehehe... absurd, right? Well, nothing is impossible. That's should be the spirit for a gakkai member. Hahahaha....

Anyway, I have started to chant for 30 minutes every day. 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening. That is my daily target. I have to march towards my target based on my faith. So daimoku is the basis of my faith. I see this as a blessing in disguise. Why?? Coz previously I am very lazy to do my gongyo and daimoku. I even miss my daily evening gongyo most of the time. Since I have made the resolution, I have to persist. I really hope I can really persist as long as I can.

Lastly, I have made it clear in my mind. I should do my daimoku sincerely. Hence I will bear no grudges in case my prayer is unanswered. No harm for doing more daimoku. I believe good fortune will come when needs arised.

P.S : daimoku is equivalent to chanting. Our chanting is based on reciting Nam-myo-ho-renge-kyo repeatedly.
