Luckily for me, my landlady prepared the tang yuen for me. Then she asked me not to ta bao outside tonight. She will cook a nice dinner. So nice of her..... ^ ^

Christmas Gift

I received my christmas gift from Aaron during our annual Christmas exchange gift party at Fun J's house last night. It was fun all night. I was laughing, talking loudly and eating a lot. At the end of the day, I lost my voice. I have to recuperate today. Din talk much and keep drinking plain water.

The below was the gift I received last night.

Kek Siang's Wedding

All these are overdue photos. All were taken on 23th of November during Kek Siang's wedding. I felt so lazy during that period, hence now I make up with it and upload a few of the photos that I have captured.

Thank you Bryan

Just came back from a drink with Bryan. Didn't expect him to give me a christmas gift when I told him I had to make a move to catch the last train of MRT. I was so moved. I just knew him about a year and yet we felt like brothers already.

Yo Bryan.... next round of drink will be on me!!!

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

This evening, I went to watch Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa on company treat. Well, frankly speaking I still like Kungfu Panda as I think the latter is funnier. Anyway, I guess kids will like Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa as all the way I kept on hearing kids were giggling in the cinema.

Besides the movie ticket, I have the snack $1o voucher too. For colleagues with 2 free tickets, they are entitled with one $10 voucher too. So I guess I am in luck as I own the $10 voucher myself. ^ ^

As I knew I wont be able to use up all the $10 voucher, I took the liberty to ask my colleagues who want to share with me. So in the end, another colleague of mine share it with me as she had two tickets while I had one.

With $20 vouchers, we bought one medium size popcorn combo (with soft drink), 1 22oz Ice Tea, 1 Jumbo Hotdog and 1 ala carte Nacho's. All together cost $19.10. Still less than $20. However after I tasted the Nacho's..... hmm... it taste no good.

Actually my order is only Ice tea and a jumbo hotdog. But in the end, my colleague can't finish the popcorn and I became the big fat rat. I finished the popcorn, jumbo hotdog and ice tea as my dinner. muahahahaha.......

Received a very bad news from my ex-colleague.

My ex-colleague who was my senior or supervising senior had left this world peacefully around 7pm this evening. He had left behind his beloved wife and children.

It is an indeed sad news. At a stage, I heard good news that he is recovering well. So I really did not anticipate this devastating news. Really feel sad. He really had sacrificed a lot for his family. sob sob.....

Sorry coz I can't attend your wake as I am still in S'pore. I hope you will always watch out for your family up beyond the sky. May you always bless your family ......

I got my money back!!!!

If you have read my previous post, you will know what I am going to say now.

XYZ indeed paid back my small loan to him. Kudos to him. Hopefully this will serve as reminder to his friends that we all should give him a chance. And to XYZ... do not dishearten when you hear people say bad things about you. It is their loss in not knowing you better.

I must say I am sorry to you too as in the beginning I suspected that you won't fulfill your promise. It is shallow of me of thinking that in the spur of moment. But after that, I realised I should chant that you are that kind of person.... and you have proved me right.

Kudos again. ^_^

D-day today!

Today will be day. Today will be day to prove whether XYZ will really keep his promise. For those who are not sure what shit am I talking now, please go here. Today will also prove his integrity as well as his honesty.

In another word, it also will prove my stupidity to trust a guy's word with little knowledge on his background. If he indeed does not keep to his promise without valid reason, sigh.... I would say I will leave my case close. I am indeed STUPID!!!!!

As I have advocate earlier, I strongly believe in karma. If you cheat people, you are accumulating bad karma. So XYZ... please. Do not cheat anybody else. Let me be the last one.

(shessshh..... I am bad mouthing him too. Damn! I am collecting bad karma too. I shall keep my mouth shut until I get his response)

Went for a buffet dinner at Orchard Cafe in Orchard Hotel

Just now, I attended a buffet dinner with my friends in conjunction of Aaron birthday.

Happy birthday, Aaron (whether u read this or not!) ^_^

Anyway, actually his birthday falls on 13th of November. Too bad, a lot of friends can't make it during that week. Hence we have to bring the celebration in advance. A bit paiseh to Aaron.

But the food at Orchard Cafe is good too. As we are utilizing the promotion whereby buy 1 free, so it is not that expensive. Each of us pay $30 for the dinner. I would say not bad and worth the money.

Given a tour to ..........

I just back home around 3:30am. Yeah.... it's pretty late. I had never so late to be home at SG. Tonight probably is my first.

Went for "tien kai chuk" at XYZ with some of my friends. Then suddenly one of my friends mooted the idea whether wanna go for a tour to see the parade show. I was puzzled and asked him what parade show? He answered, "Seeing ko ko kai lor." Ahh....now I know. I told him I had been to XYZ for 1 or 2 times, but never saw those ladies before. My friend told me, "It is becoz you are at wrong streets."

And so 6 of us went for a tour. My friend told me the typical question these girls will ask would be, "wanna go?" It means whether you want her service. If you want, then you will need to negotiate the price with her. I firmly told him, "I won't ler." He also told me he won't as he had a beautiful wife at home with 2 daughters. He said he just went around the area to see those pretty ladies (wash eyes) only.

I was so timid. I dare not to see those ladies eyes. I felt that they were very aggressive. As I walked along with my friends along the streets, the girls keep on trying to pull my friend away. Hence, I always walked at another side of my friends. I just felt uncomfortable with the ladies. We quickly went around the streets and went home.

So I had my first tour to those areas. It is an eye opener for me. Another friend of mine told me that tonight the streets had less ladies to see already. He told me few months ago when he went there for sightseeing, there are more ladies.

Oh well.... as people always said, there are two types of industry that has rooted in human history. One is gambling. Another is prostitution. Hence, I think it would be extremely difficult to eradicate it as long as there are demands for the ladies.

Last weekend shopping spree

I had spent a whopping RM1.8k during my last trip back to M'sia. Amazing, right?? I also couldn't believe that I have spent so much. But all these are necessary... apart from RM280++ was for my personal indulgence. ^_^

Last Saturday I sent my car to my regular workshop for some maintenance. My car had amassed 140,000 km++ of mileage. Hence, it is time for me to change the timing belt. Besides, my mum will be driving my car from now onwards. So it is better be safe than sorry.

I sent my car to my workshop around 9.30am; I asked them to change the timing belt and commence with the normal car service. Besides that I had asked them to check my brake pad for the front and service the brake for the rear tyre. My car had been dripping engine oils for months. Even though it is not dripping heavily, I thought I should fix it together. Then my foreman found that it was due to the rubber in between the engine and clutch valve (I was told) has worn out. The rubber itself only cost around RM45. But the workmanship to dismantle it would be around RM150. Then in the afternoon, they found another problem with my car. They had found that the steel piping and rubber piping (for air condition, i suppose) had worn out too. The rubber pipe is going to rupture and the steel piping is rusting and its edges are giving ways. Sigh.... no choice. Have to fix it. Then around 4pm, received another call from my mechanic. I knew it won't be any good news. I was told again that the mouth of the clutch cable has cracked. He said there would be danger of the clutch cable to snap. I was horrified when I heard this. I just said, "CHANGE". When I got another call from the workshop around 6.30pm; I was relieved to hear that my car was ready to be picked up. I went there and saw the bill..... WOW!!!! RM809 for the maintenance. I wouldn't know it was reasonable or not; but I chose to trust my workshop. Coz they did not deceive me before and their workmanship is okay. Furthermore, I believe in karma. If they chose to cheat me; surely they will get their retribution. Just my believe!!

Then came on Monday, I went to aeroline to purchase my coming weeks tickets. I bought a debit card from them and reloaded RM800 on it. Got a 10% bonus; so my card is worth RM880. Must not lost it. Anyway, I straight use the card to purchase my tickets. Up till now, I think I had purchased more than RM500 worth of tickets already.

That's my shopping spree. RM809 for car maintenance. RM800 for my bus tickets. and RM280++ for my indulgence during my Deepavali stay at M'sia.

Scary.... huh!!!! :p

80GB HD is gone!!!

I think it's official.....

My portable 80GB 2.5" HDD is gone. I mean spoilt. I have tried it on several PCs and notebook; all of them just unable to detect the hard drive. There is light on the power, but I just cant detect it.

Sayonara... my movies.
Good bye.... my backup
Adios.... all my MP3.

I just felt I wanna cry. Coz I have a lot of data inside!!!!!

Sob sob......

On a note: Probably I should change the casing and see..... ^ ^ (a glimmer of hope)

Watching Max Payne resulted me in Maximum Pain!!!!

Probably you people might wonder what in the hell does watching Max Payne can result me in maximum pain. The pain that I refer to is my "pocket". My pocket hurt a lot after watching Max Payne - The movie. The movie sucks and my pocket hurt. What a hellish day I had yesterday.

Look at below and you will know what I mean by my pocket "hurt". I was stupidly being issued a compound for parking at yellow line. F*#@!!! Probably other people might think I deserved it. I just parked my car beside a row of houses. Just happen to be the road has a yellow line on it. I thought, as I did not block the road, probably nobody would issue me a compound. DEAD WRONG!!!!! I saw this compound on my windscreen. I really wanna shout.... F@@@@

Oh well.. since I would be heading back south to Singapore that evening, I had to settle this compound as soon as possible. Hence I went to MPSJ to pay the compound. I duly took my number and waited for my turn. When my number was called, I approached the cashier and appeal for my compound. I told him this is my first time, and I had promptly come to pay it. I was issued the compound around 1:20pm, and I was at MPSJ to pay my compound at 3:00pm. Very prompt right? So the cashier said okay and gave me a reprieved. I got a 50% discount and I paid half the amount.

Moral of the story!!!! Dun bloody "kim siap" on the parking fees for the complexes. Just pay rather than getting an exorbitant compound on your windscreen. Plus, it is a hassle to go to your town councils just to pay it. ^_^

Bad news from Cynthia

This afternoon I received news from my ex-colleague, Cynthia.

She told me that another ex-colleague of us, Teh had been admitted to hospital again. Teh had been diagnose with an illness that seemed to me as leukemia. However, some of my ex-colleague told otherwise. Anyway, the only solution to treat him would be having gone under the knife for "
"bone marrow transplant."

Since Teh has been very weak recently, the doctor has suggested to wait until he is much stronger (body). Only then he can go under operation. He has the bone marrow donor already which is his younger brother. What delayed or obstruct him is his weak body. The doctor is afraid that Teh's body couldn't withstand the gruelling operation procedure.

Sigh.... and I shall continue to chant for his Speedy Recovery!!!

I am potentially and willingly being conned by XYZ!!!

Ta daa.....

Just as the title said, "Yup, I am potentially been conned by XYZ already"

The story went like this:
This morning just around my lunch time, I received a sms from XYZ asking for a favor. Firstly he sms me asking how was I? Fine? Which I duly replied that I am fine. That's was when I felt something fishy already. XYZ has not contacted till now. Of course he must have something to ask from me. A favour? Wanna sell product to me?

And well... in the end, he confessed that he needed a favour from me. He told me he needed $Y00.00 for some emergency things. As I knew and understand his nature of occupation, it would be normal that he ran into cashflow problems. And in another way, I think he need the money for his wife. He wouldn't cheat me.

Anyway, I told him that my account does not have the $Y00.00 as if I lend him that amount, my account would fall below the permitted level and bank will start to charge me a penalty. We haggled for well and set it less $300.

As I was going to transfer him the money; I did some check on this guy sensing this guy might cheat my money. I called one of this friend. Unfortunately, this friend of his also not so close with XYZ. But from his view, XYZ seemed to be nice and honest. That's when I decided to lend him the money. I sms-ed him that I had transfered him the money. He promised me that he will return it by 5th of November.

An hour after I had transfered the money to XYZ, his fren called. He told me some of the not so nice thing bout XYZ and said sorry to me as he also din know it. That's when I thought my money will be gone for good. XYZ's friend apologised profusely on his recommendation, which I replied not his fault. All fault is mine as I was the willing party.

What I worried is not the money. I was worried on XYZ. Why he needs to borrow money in so sudden? Is he really so cash-trapped? Or is he purely want to cheat me of that meagre sum of money? I just hoped he really need the money I lent him for the emergency purpose as I do not want to see another friend to go down the devil paths.

And so I hope, he will keep his promise and return the money by 5th of Nov. Else, it will only show that he is a TRULY BIG LIAR. Singapore is not a huge place. If he has become a LIAR, sooner or later reality will haunt him.

I just hope he won't follow the devils' paths. And so, I shall always chant for his safety and his family that he will not be influenced by devils.

As the result will only yield by 5th November; that's why I said, "I am potentially and willingly conned by XYZ." Potentially as it does not hold the truth yet until 5th of November.

Time will tell. Let's just wait.

This on a Newsletter.......

Something caught my eyes while I was reading a newsletter.

There was this reader asking in a column on how to handle inappropriate interview questions for a job such as
"Do you have partner?" - or -
"Are you planning to get married?" - or -
"Where were you born?"

Well, for my part; I just do not understand why these questions are deemed inappropriate. Can anybody enlighten me on this?

For me, it does not matter as I do not think those questions are too personal. Probably these questions might be asked during ice-breaking session or the interviewer might want to have some chit chat.

Hmm.... In my opinion, as long as you answered the questions truthfully and professionally with proper gesture would be fine. Just my opinion though.

Vandalism at bus stop or an accident?

Low crime doesn't mean no crime. This is the slogan that I see everywhere in Singapore. It serves as a reminder to all the public that everybody has the responsibilities to be vigilant. Like the slogan said, "LOW CRIME DOESN'T MEAN NO CRIME".

See both the photos below. Is it an act of vandalism? or purely an accident?? I just wonder.

It was visible that the glass for the notice board had been smashed at the center.

The glass scattered around the floor.

Updates.....

Yeah, I know.... Lately I did not update my blog. Kinda lazy to update even though I have something to say. By the time I have the mood to update my blog, all my ideas had been blown away by the wind.

Before I forget again, below are two of the photos taken by Yi Fong during my CFG. She did not take a lot of photos as not much of the C1 NDP gang attended my CFG.

My so called "cool" pose.

Jasmine insist me in doing flasher pose. Just wonder is there any flasher smile so happily??

CFG has ended

My chapter CFG has ended successfully. I think it should be a success even though there is some communication problem between me with my chapter leaders.

I woke up this morning around 9.15am. Then Ching Fatt asked me whether I would be going for the final rehearsal at 10am. Wow.... got a shock in the morning. I said, "No leh. I was not informed." Then I think my answer has put him in an awkward position. He said, "Then probably they thought your dance is okay liao so they din inform you lor." Since I just woke up, I also blur blur and said, "Okay lor. Nvm la."

I continued my sleep. However, I felt a bit irritated already. How can they missed the point to tell me the final run through or rehearsal this morning at 10am. Sigh....

Then as I was waiting for bus, my leader sms me asking me where were I and lunch was provided for all the performers. Damn.... heng liao. Feel very irritated liao as now only tell me, plus raining quah. Hahaha.....

As I reached kaikan, a WD leader asked me.... "how come you only reach by now?" I just replied, "Nobody told me what time." She replied, "All suppose to meet at 10am ma." Duh.... That was when I realised there might be some communication breakdown liao. Anyway, I still feel they can start to sms or call me when I still did not show up by 11 or 12pm. But they din. So I guessed I was not supposed to come early lor.

While waiting for the show to begin, I started to realise luckily I need not to come early. Coz I felt I will be damn tired afterwards by just waiting and waiting. haha.....

To cut short the story, this time around, I did not do any mistake on my steps; just that I overheard those front rows spectators commenting I looked lethargic and out of breath. Hahaha... Old liao. No stamina.

And so.... our CFG has ended. I was congratulated by a lot of members that I have put up a good show. I felt happy that I did not disappoint them.

And later, Abishek asked me whether I can perform the same dance on 25th of Oct. I directly said, "Da meh!!!!" (Means No) I told him I will be going back to Msia to celebrate Deepavali with my wife ma. ^ ^

I really happy that our CFG is a success in my own terms as I saw a lot of people came to give us support. There are hiccups here and there, and we hope we will improve from here.

Thanks to all the WDs and MDs for their sporting attitudes. Just hope in the next round, I can involve fully from planning till execution.

HOORAY Telok Blangah CFG!!!!!

Be grateful....

We should be grateful with what we have.

We should be grateful to have a mum who takes care of you.

We should be grateful if your spouse is taking care of you.

I just finished doing house chores for more than 1 hour. sigh... kinda tiring. So guys, be grateful to your mum or your wife if you need not to do so. Even ironing all my shirts took me bout an hour. Geez..... Cant imagine how my mum do that while taking care of us when we were that naughty when we were young. ^ ^

So be grateful guys!!!!

Good News!!!!!

I had a good news!!!!

My sister has 2 offers to choose from.

Din really expect that she will have offers so soon. One from Prudential and another from GE. Think will let her choose her own.

Yippie..... I am so happy as I chanted that she will have offer soon.

It proves "No prayers go unanswered."

CFG Rehearsal #1

Today my rehearsal just over. I were to perform my solo item.

I did it, errr..... not very good. But the other members keep on heaping praise on me. I felt so paiseh coz I knew I was not in good condition just now.

During second run, my performance was better. But still nowhere the best that I knew myself. Sigh..... how to capture my personal best again in dancing Indian Dance......

Have to gambatte a lot liao!!!!

Black Sunday

The title had nothing to do with me. It was actually a black Sunday for my ex-NDP trainer aka MiLo (Jasmine).

Last night, we went to have dinner at Marche, Vivocity. Then later we just walked around the void deck on top of the roof of Vivo. So called lepak-ing in BM la.

Then Jasmine said wanna go to toilet. After coming back, she exclaimed, "Shit, I think i left my phone in the toilet." And so, she ran to the toilet accompanied by Eveline. When both came back, I looked at their expression. I knew her phone was gone.

Too bad. On a happy note, she said she had backup most of the contacts except the NDP contact lists plus other things la. That's why she was not that upset at that moment.

Well... the point was she saw a lady acting suspiciously when she darted into the toilet. Sigh.... I wonder how come nowadays people are so greedy. A handphone only. Plus her handphone would not fetch a high price.

Where are human honesty, integrity and sincerity????

Are most people lacking humanity values already?

And the report also showed the chromosome test. It also clearly shows that our baby is a girl. So we no need to keep guessing whether it is a boy or girl. ^ ^

The report clearly shows my baby is a girl. Double-X chromosome!!!

Telok Blangah CFG - 05/10/2008

My chapter, Telok Blangah will be having a CFG on 5th of October, 2pm. CFG stands for Chapter Friendship Gathering. It is an event whereby all are invited to come to view the performance and also to get an insight on what Soka Gakkai is about.

So guys and gals in SG.... please come. I will be performing Indian Dance.

As a note, just now I practised alone in my room. I was panting heavily for breath in just 15 minutes. I wondered last time how come I have the stamina to last the 1.5 hours practise with our Indian Dance teacher, Ms Ann. Either I am getting old, or my stamina has plunged steep down. Got to build up my stamina again. ^ ^

Please do encourage me.

New foldable mattress

This evening after my office hour, I went to purchase a foldable mattress. It cost me SGD39.50 + SGD11 (bedsheet cover). Dunno it's nice to sleep on as I have not tested it. I have long wanted to buy one as I think I need a backup for my wife in case she came to visit me. My previous mattress which is loaned from my landlady is kinda thin. So hopefully this is fine.
